| The Biotech Research Institute (BRI)
of Dongbu Advanced Research Council has been working on crop seeds
of high value, horticultural plants, and plants for care of environment. In order to enhance intellectual creativity of the researchers, reduce the risk of the R&D and maximize the probability of success, we are carrying out several research projects together with university and government institute. |
| The BRI has three-research team. Plant Biotech Research Team of BRI has been working on the development of high value added by applying innovative biotechnology. Current research focus is on the genetic resource of fruits and the regulation of secondary metabolites. For the best performance, we work together with co-workers in the university and the government institute. |
| The Plant Resources Research Team of BRI has collected native plants in South Korea. Current research focus is on the propagation of valuable native plants through tissue culture, and the development of breeding technology of native plants, which are suitable for remediation of polluted air by exhaust fumes. The native plants are used for ecological restoration and resources of native medicine development. |
| The Bioengineering Research Team of BRI has been developed pharmaceutical chemicals using by enzymatic bioconversion research. This team is also working on the bio-safety assessment of bio-pesticide products. |
